Before he became known for his work in blockbuster films such as Terminator, Total Recall, and Predator. Arnold Schwarzenegger was known as Mr. Universe and Mr. Olympia. Schwarzenegger has lived a life that is definitely far from ordinary. When photographing Arnold, Swirc comments that, “I locked him in the shower closet of his hotel room with barely any light and then set the flash right onto his face.”
2.Christopher Walken

Christopher Walken has one of the most recognizable faces in Hollywood. He has starred in many famous movies including True Romance, Pulp Fiction, and many other great works. Whether he is the leading man or he’s just making a cameo, Walken continues to impress us. Swirc only had a few moments to work with Walken on his photo shoot. Swirc quotes Walken saying, “I’m doing three photos.” That’s it, three photos and Swirc still managed to get this amazing portrait.
3.Charlotte Rampling

Swirc’s time Rampling was a lot more intimate than most. Swirc says that Rampling “is very interesting work with.” Adding that, “She takes the time to be completely with you when you photograph her.” Charlotte Rampling has made appearances in shows such as Dexter, Broadchurch, and long list of films. She has starred along side big actors such as Sean Connery, Paul Newman, and Robert Mitchum.
4.Salma Hayek

There is no denying Salma Hayek’s beauty and grace. She has impressed audiences with a wide variety of films. Her range is tremendous, one moment she can star in a gory Tarantino film, the next she will be portraying the talented Frida Kahlo. Swirc recounts his experience photographing Hayek as intimidating, “She came up to me to view photos on the screen of my camera, and I felt the fabric of her blouse against my arm. My camera almost slipped from my hands.”
5.Matt Damon

We all know and love Matt Damon for his appearances in films like Good Will Hunting and the Bourne Series. His range is just as impressive as he is. His talent doesn’t end with acting, he is also a very talented writer and director. Swirc had a wonderful time photographing Damon saying, “Matt Damon gives you the impression that you are his friend. He always laughs with you, pleasant.”
6.Javier Bardem

Breaking away from his classic black and white photographs, Swirc captures this amazing portrait of Javier Bardem. Bardem has awed audiences with his amazing character acting. He floored people with his performance in No Country For Old Men and Biutiful. Even when the actor is having fun playing a James Bond villain, he still impresses us. Swirc was blown away by his “incredible profile,” which many will agree with.
7.Marion Cotillard

French actress Marion Cotillard is simply jaw dropping. Describing her beauty and talent is hard. However, Patrick Swirc perfectly captures her essence in this bold portrait. Swirc has commented that Marion “is so sensual,” and “all you have to do is draw your gaze toward her ad you have your picture.” We can all admire her beauty and talent in movies such as Macbeth, Inception, and Big Fish.
8.Jean-Luc Godard

Known as one of the founders of New Wave cinema during the 1960’s. Jean-Luc Godard creates philosophical masterpieces that have inspired generations of filmmakers. Known for works such a Breathless and Contempt, Godard is nothing short of a genius. Swirc comments that, “Godard looks at me without understanding what is happening, and that is exactly my attitude when I look at his films: I don’t understand anything at all.”
9.Tom Hanks

Like many others on this list, Tom Hanks has impressed us with his talent. For years we’ve supported him and his endeavor to create amazing and influential work. We will never forget his performances in movies like Forrest Gump, Big, and Castaway. This particular photo was taken by Patrick Swric during the Deauville American Film Festival. Known for it’s exceptionally rainy weather, Swirc said that Tom Hanks “approached the window of opportunity with that little ray of this sun.”
10.Martin Scorsese

Where would we be without the amazing works of Martin Scorsese. His most recent films such as The Wolf of Wall Street, The Departed, and Shutter Island have impressed audiences around the world. His films have inspired and will continue to inspire an entire generation of aspiring filmmakers. While working with Scorsese, Patrick Swirc said that “Scorsese is very attentive to what you say to him; he lets himself relax and be directed.”
11. Clint Eastwood

At one time he ruled the screens with his amazing performances in the Western film genre. Now Clint Eastwood continues to awe audiences, but as a writer and director. His most recent movies Gran Torino, Invictus, and Million Dollar Baby have shown that he can hold his own as a director. While shooting Eastwood, Patrick felt like a child again. “I could see myself dressed up as a cowboy with my plastic guns. That day my gun was my camera, and I could unsheathe it quicker than he could,” said Patrick.
12.David Lynch

Talented writer and director, David Lynch is known for works such as Elephant Man, Mulholland Drive, and Blue Velvet. Not only is he a very talented writer, he has a long list of movies that he has directed, there are just too many to name. Patrick Swirc’s time spent with Lynch was memorable. He comments that Lynch “is always very elegant,” and that “it’s very hard to miss a picture of Lynch.”
13.Al Gore

The former Vice President stopped to take some time with Patrick. Gore is not only known as the Vice President from 1993 to 2001, but he is known for his environmental work. Patrick Swirc decided that he would sneak himself into Al Gore’s portrait. Joking with one of his friends, Swirc said that “I’d made a bet with a friend that I would be in Le Monde on the next day. That’s why you see me on that corner.”
14.Juliette Binoche

French actress Juliette Binoche is well known for her role in The English Patient. However, she has gone on to star in a plethora of amazing films. Binoche is already stunning, but Swirc helps bring out her natural beauty even more. Talking about his experience shooting her, Swric says, “I found her so beautiful and so sensual. I was very happy to photograph her.”
