2. 1994: Kurt Cobain commits suicide
Today was the day that was determined by forensic analysis that Kurt Cobain shot and killed himself in his home outside Seattle Washington. He wasn’t found until three days later when an Home security system technician showed up at the house to install an alarm system. Cobain had struggled with many different vices but the most significant would be his love for heroin and his unbeatable depression. Just a month earlier in Italy Cobain went into a coma due to an abundance of champagne and the drug Rohypnol which is commonly referred to as a “Roofie” or “date rape drug”. Many fans believed that the coma was due to a heroin overdose but it was all just speculation. There was a conspiracy going around for a few years that Cobain’s wife, Courtney Love was responsible for having Kurt Killed but after multiple different investigations it was determined that Cobain’s Death was most definitely suicide.

Judge Irving R. Kaufman was the judge presiding over the case and when he brought down the death sentence he added that the crimes commited were “worse than Muder” and continued with “By your betrayal you undoubtedly have altered the course of history to the disadvantage of our country”. There were a couple organiztions in the U.S. and around the workd that pleaded for leniancy in the Rosenberg situation due to the fact that they would be leaving behind two young children and the Defense Attoureys did claim that the Rosenbergs were innocent and were “victims of political hysteria” but all of which were ignored. They were put to death June 19, 1953.
